Victoria = Kifisia
Train Station 2003
From 1997 to 2001, as I commuted daily by train from Victoria station in Athens, Greece, where I resided, to Kifisia station, the location of the university where I was pursuing my studies, I was constantly presented with an array of diverse individuals. The observation of these faces deeply impacted my creativity, as many of these characters became the muses for my artistic endeavors. The profound inspiration they stirred within me led me to gather all of my sketches that were created during this period and curate a collection of portraits to showcase these individuals.
It was during this time that I truly entered my artistic world, where the observation of the human condition and the emotions it evokes became a driving force behind my creative process. The collection not only serves as a tribute to the people who unknowingly influenced me, but also as a visual representation of the transformative power of observation and the impact it can have on one's art.
