Passing By, was a new challenge for me because I had to combine new technical knowledge in my artwork. Being trained recently on using a wireless pen to paint digitally has exploded my possibilities even further.

Having been, as all of us, under restrictions for the first time, made me realize that humans are a very fragile species that could be easily detained, and manipulated in every sense. Free will may probably not exist anymore. We are contained and with Covid-19 it has been made more obvious for us. We have our limits, but those limits are not obvious to us and confuse us even more.

We are all Passing By for a short time in this life as everything else that lives on this planet. I am not saying that we all have to make the best out of it, because that is not the case, but I wish we all realize how little our impact is referring to life, but on the contrary, how damaging our reluctance and disrespectful behavior has on the other species that we share our lives.

It’s not easy to be human, not at all. And it’s not easy being a mosquito either.

The original drawing was firstly created in 2007. It was kept, with many others, in my “treasure” box until 2021 when I digitalized it and created its final image.

All prints in my Reconstructing Our Common Values exhibition are available in a limited edition series. Only one is available as an NFT and two are physically printed. The first one of the printed versions is offered for free to the NFT collector and the second could be bought freely. All prints are printed with archival pigment inks on Fine Art (acid-free) paper.
