Exhibition Title - 2021 - Reconstructing Our Common Values

I was meant to be born in winter in Cyprus, an eastern Mediterranean island. Things changed, though, while I was in my mother's womb, and I ended up getting born in South Africa in the summer.

What caused my birth location to be changed? WAR.

My family was one of the thousands of inhabitants that fled during the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974 when the city of Famagusta fell under Turkish control. My family ended up in a refugee camp. They finally left Cyprus and moved to South Africa for a better future.

Unfortunately, this is still the situation for many people worldwide who are refugees trying to find a safe place to build a new life.

All prints in my Reconstructing Our Common Values section exhibition are available in a limited edition series. Only one is offered as an NFT (1/1) and two as Giclee Prints (1/2). The Giclee Prints have fixed sizes but could be customized if requested. Original Hand-signed.
