Sergis Adamo’s exhibition at Nicosia's prestigious Gloria Gallery took place in 2020, just as the globe was starting to struggle with the advent of COVID-19. The evening was enriched by the unexpected but welcome presence of Cyprus's Minister of Education Mr. Prodoromos Prodromou and his wife, a rare occurrence in our cultural environment. They further celebrated the occasion by inaugurating the exhibition.
Also in 2020, Sergis Adamos expanded his artistic practice using glass plates, focusing on those that were fused. This fusion occurred as a result of chemical erosion caused by the plates being abandoned in a damp environment for decades. This erosion intriguingly caused the plates' distinct images to combine, resulting in complex, cohesive compositions. This year also saw the start of Sergis’ color experiments, which added a new depth to the already one-of-a-kind artwork he creates from these historically significant elements.
